Summer; fully in swing.

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

Tomorrow is the last day of June, and as it often happens, July is planning to follow. Summer is really here, I do believe. My weather widget says its currently 71 degrees, that there’s a high of 96 for today and possible lightning storms. My inner temperature widget must be broken, because I’m almost certain my body temperature rivals that of the surface of the sun.

It’s summer. I’m pregnant, again. By that I mean to say, I’m pregnant in summer, AGAIN. I promised myself I wouldn’t do this again to myself… but lets be honest, we promise a lot of things to ourselves…   And when nature commands you to make babies, you do. (or when every diaper commercial or baby picture you see makes your ovaries ache and your brain squee like a teenager finding a coveted handbag at half off…  you do.)

Daughter Laurel and Husband Joel are at the park across the street, before the heat of the day really hits.I could not be convinced to put on the necessary clothing to go outside, so I’m inside wishing for a better air conditioner or for spontaneous indoor snow.

On weekends I’m “allowed” to sleep in, but today I could not sleep past 8am, laying in bed thinking about things to sew. Trying my darnedest to figure out a fantastic way to finish a project thats been rolling around in my head.  This is the curse of a crafter.

Well, here it is, the new blog.

Wish me well.
