A few random things:

There’s been a few little things going on, but nothing seemed monumental enough to blog about it alone, so for now here’s a little compilation..

I picked up these little people a week or two ago at a local craft store. Laurel likes to make “furniture” with her wooden blocks and I thought it’d be nice to have some people that would be the proper scale. (Barbie is MUCH too big… and oddly proportioned) These guys were $.99 unfinished, they came in a package of two. I quickly painted them with some old acrylic and one of Laurel’s plastic kids brushes. I was hesitant to post them, because they were honestly just really thrown together, but she really loves them and so they’ve grown on me a bit as well. Someday we’ll have an army of much better painted one, but for right now with very little tools and time, they function just great.

I crochet, though I honestly always question why. I refuse to use patterns, I am so impatient that I can never produce anything very fine.. If I cant finish it in a few hours than I usually give up and rip it out. I also honestly dont even really care for the look of crocheted items (with a few exceptions). However my MIL picked these up for us at a garage sale (for $.25!), and I have to admit.. I think they’re a little bit cute.. Maybe because I’m filled with hormones, or maybe because I can visualize those teeny toes peeking out of the little holes… but either way.. I thought I’d share. Of course they aren’t my style at all, but I’m trying to branch out.

Life has been pretty normal. (I had to stop myself when I was about to write “quiet” because that would be a lie for sure!)
I somehow convinced my husband that we should sign up for Organic Produce Delivery… .after years of toying with the idea.
Today we received our first bin!
organic produce!
It’s always really fun to have something delivered, isn’t it?

We picked up these guys nearly a year ago, but I thought they needed to be shared and it felt like a decent subject given our excitement over vegetables today. Forgive the out of focus picture, Laurel was trying to play with them WHILE I was trying to shoot pictures. (But hadnt showed any interest in them in hours prior.. you know how that goes)
